Xeomin® VS Botox®: What's the Difference?
If you are looking for a cosmetic skin treatment to remove wrinkles, facial lines, and other signs of aging, it’s likely that Xeomin® and Botox® will feature prominently in your research. The two FDA-approved injectable neurotoxins may serve the same fundamental function. Still, there are some noticeable differences, while only the most suitable solution for your specific needs should be accepted. Baltic Beauty Centre’s licensed aestheticians can guide you through the process.
How Botox® and Xeomin® Work
Both Botox® and Xeomin® are injectable neurotoxins that remove expression lines, wrinkles, and stress lines by relaxing the targeted facial muscles. As the muscles become relaxed and encounter reduced movement, the blemishes caused by the frequent muscle movements of day-to-day life become less visible to produce smoother, younger-looking skin.
Each solution provides quick results that last for around six months but can be topped up at repeat biannual appointments. Botox® and Xeomin® dosages also have the same strengths. Whichever treatment you choose, fine needles are injected under the skin into the treatment area while anesthetic creams are applied beforehand to reduce any discomfort.
When completed by the Baltic Beauty Centre’s team of professional aestheticians, it’s possible to target wrinkles and lines with incredible accuracy. At the same time, the results can be shown within a matter of days.
The Difference Between Botox® and Xeomin®
While Botox® and Xeomin® and injections do share a number of common attributes, they are two very different products. While a lot of people wrongly assume that the latter is merely a budget imitation of the world’s best-known brand of injectable neurotoxins, partly due to the fact it takes 24 hours longer for the results to show, this is inaccurate.
Xeomin® is made up entirely of botulinum toxin A while Botox® injections include the addition of various protective proteins. Due to the additional ingredients, Botox® products must be refrigerated prior to usage. Conversely, Xeomin® is under reduced storage requirements while the single ingredient means that they are less prone to antibodies that could reduce the level of improvement.
