What are the Benefits of Microneedling?

Microneedling is a minimally invasive procedure that many people have in order to make their skin appear more toned and firmer. There are many benefits of microneedling, and we’re going to be looking at them in a little more detail.

How Does Microneedling Work?

The idea behind microneedling is that it encourages your skin to naturally produce more collagen. The aesthetician will make small holes in your face using a needle, and the premise is that because the skin is injured, it is going to produce more collagen-rich tissue in order to heal these little holes. With the more tissue that is made, the more collagen is produced which will help to tighten the skin.

It is a minimally invasive treatment, and is most commonly used on the face to treat wrinkles, large pores and some levels of scarring.

Types of Microneedling Available

At Baltic Beauty Center, we offer a range of microneedling treatments to choose from

We offer PRP microneedling, AquaGold® and traditional microneedling. It will depend on which results you would like to see as to which type of microneedling would be used. At your consultation with your aesthetician, you will talk about what exactly you would like to gain from this treatment, and this will help give our expert the information they need.

Let us create a personalized treatment plan for you!

Benefits of Microneedling

Target Skin Concerns from the Inside Out

One of the best benefits of microneedling is that it targets skin concerns from the inside out. For example, when paired with PRP or AquaGold®, high-quality serums and solutions are able to penetrate the skin a lot deeper than other treatments. This will help to keep your skin looking better than ever, and for longer!

Increase Natural Collagen Production

Another benefit is that because of the technique used, natural collagen production is encouraged. Due to the ‘damage’ that is being done to the skin in the form of little holes, collagen-rich tissue will be produced by the body in order to heal this area. As such, your skin will end up firmer and tighter than before.

Reduce Signs of Aging

Another name for microneedling is collagen induction therapy. The more collagen there is in your skin, the more youthful and tight your skin will  be. This means that wrinkles and fine lines will be dramatically reduced, leaving you with a more youthful look.

Who is a Good Candidate for Microneedling?

You might be a good candidate for microneedling if any of the following apply to your situation:

  • You have healthy skin
  • You would like your skin to look youthful once more
  • You would like to lighten acne scars
  • You would like to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines
